Dayfast — Intermittent Fasting Tracker

1. Who We Are

Dayfast is developed and operated by ICI Tech Teknoloji A.Ş. ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), a technology company registered in Turkey.

The app and all its content are for general informational and personal tracking purposes only — they do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Intermittent fasting is not suitable for everyone. Before starting a new dietary regimen, consult a doctor or healthcare professional. This applies especially to pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, children and adolescents, people with diabetes or blood sugar irregularities, those with a history of eating disorders, and those taking certain medications. If you feel unwell during a fast, stop immediately and seek medical attention if needed.

2. Data We Collect

Account Information: Email address, password (one-way hash — we never see your plain-text password), optional display name and profile photo. An account is required to use Dayfast.

Fasting Tracking Data: Fasting start and end times, total fasting durations, selected fasting plan (16:8, 18:6, or custom), fasting history and completion records.

Nutrition and Activity Notes (Optional): Meal notes and general dietary entries you choose to record, activity logs, water intake notes.

Progress and Statistics Data: Daily and weekly fasting statistics, streak counts, completion rates, and graph data.

Device and Technical Data: Device type and model, OS version, app version, IP address (truncated where possible), crash logs, error reports.

Push Notification Data: Device push token if you grant notification permission.

Communications Data: Email and message content from support contacts.

Fasting history, dietary notes, and nutritional patterns are sensitive personal data that may reflect your health and wellbeing. We treat this data with heightened care and do not share it with advertising networks.

3. How We Collect Your Data

Data is collected directly from you when you register, start or stop a fast, add meal or activity notes, and configure your plan. Technical data is collected automatically during app use.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Fasting tracking data and dietary notes are health-related and processed only with your explicit consent. You may withdraw consent at any time via Settings → Privacy → Manage Consents.

5. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to authenticate your account; track your fasting sessions and maintain your history; generate progress statistics, graphs, and streak data; send fasting start, end, and motivational reminders (with your permission); diagnose crashes and improve app performance; and, with your explicit consent, send marketing communications.

6. What We Do Not Do

We do not sell your personal data or health-related data. We do not share fasting history, dietary notes, or progress data with Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, or any advertising network. We do not use your fasting or nutrition data for behavioural advertising profiling. We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android). We do not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.

7. Third-Party Services

We do not currently integrate advertising SDKs or third-party AI services into Dayfast.

8. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We share data only as necessary: with cloud infrastructure providers (app operations and sync, under strict data processing agreements); with Apple or Google (distribution and, if payment is introduced, billing); with customer support providers (handling your requests); with financial and legal advisors (compliance); with courts and regulators (lawful requests); with potential acquirers under strict confidentiality. We never share fasting or dietary data with advertising networks.

9. International Data Transfers

ICI Tech Teknoloji A.Ş. is based in Turkey. Some infrastructure providers operate internationally. All transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards per KVKK Article 9, including standard contractual clauses.

10. Data Retention

Account data is retained for the duration of your account plus 3 years after deletion. Fasting tracking, nutrition, and progress data is retained for the duration of your account plus 1 year after deletion. Support communications are retained for 3 years. Crash logs are deleted after 12 months on a rolling basis.

Account deletion: we delete or irreversibly anonymize your data within 30 days of confirmed deletion, except where longer retention is required by law.

11. Security

All data in transit uses TLS 1.2+ encryption. Server-stored data is encrypted at rest. Fasting and dietary data is stored with appropriate access controls. Regular security assessments are conducted.

12. Push Notifications

Manage in Settings → Notifications or your device settings.

13. Children's Privacy

Dayfast is intended for users aged 18 and older. Intermittent fasting is not suitable for minors. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Contact app@icitech.com.tr if you believe a child has submitted data.

14. Your Privacy Rights

We respond within 30 days, free of charge.

15. EEA and UK Users

16. Changes to This Policy

Material changes notified at least 14 days in advance. Current version at https://dayfast.app/en/privacy.

18. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, including KVKK No. 6698. Disputes are subject to Turkish court jurisdiction.
